Compare 16 cafés and bakeries with verified branch identities in Tallinn, plus two additional Paper Mill branches. Use this guide to choose a location, then ask that branch whether it can accommodate the kind of work you have in mind.
A verified address is not a verified workspace. None of these entries guarantees laptop stays, a particular Wi-Fi speed, charging, quiet seating or permission to take calls. Three names from the earlier guide — Epic Coffee, Trinacria and Must Puudel — remain below as unverified references, outside the recommended shortlist.
Sources checked: 21 October 2026. Operator pages and district directories support the addresses and services described here. Menus, opening hours and seating policies can change.
Choose an area
For a short central coffee stop, compare Rotermann Quarter, Old Town or Caffeine Rävala. Kadriorg works well if you want to combine a café visit with a park walk. Telliskivi Creative City and Kalamaja offer several nearby stops, while KIOSK No3 and Karjase Sai require a separate trip to northern Tallinn.
Browse Tallinn places on the map or search Tallinn cafés. Confirm a suitable seat before ordering for a long session. If you need guaranteed desk space, reliable calls or an uninterrupted working day, arrange a workspace that explicitly offers those services.
These comparisons describe reasons to visit, rather than tested working conditions:

Fahle District
Paper Mill Coffee
Paper Mill’s flagship café and roastery occupy the former factory fire station at Masina 20. This is the branch to choose if the historic roastery setting is part of your visit. Check its closing time before planning an afternoon session.
The operator also lists Paper Mill at Viru Keskus Food Hall, Viru väljak 4–6, and Bakermill in Volta, Tööstuse 47D. These are separate branches with different schedules and settings. The operator welcomes work meetings generally; that does not confirm every branch’s charging, call policy or availability for extended laptop use.
Official details: Paper Mill cafés.
Kadriorg
KALVE Coffee Kadriorg
KALVE Kadriorg is at F. R. Faehlmanni 13. Use this branch for a coffee stop in Kadriorg, and check its own schedule when planning your route between the neighbourhood’s cafés and park.

Kalamaja
Kalamaja Pagarikoda
Kalamaja Pagarikoda lists its bakery at Jahu 11. Choose it for baked goods; confirm visitor hours and whether suitable seating is available before planning more than a short stop. A bakery address alone does not establish café-style working facilities.

Official details: Kiosk cafés.
Caffeine Rävala
Caffeine Rävala is at Rävala puiestee 4. This guide refers to that specific branch. Other Caffeine cafés have their own hours, layouts and seating conditions, so a policy observed elsewhere should not be assumed to apply here.
Official details: Caffeine Tallinn branches.

Official details: Karjase Sai.
Old Town
Reval Café Müürivahe
Reval Café Müürivahe is at Müürivahe 14. The operator describes it as a café-restaurant with a separate restaurant wing. Ask which tables, if any, suit a laptop visit; a restaurant booking and permission to work are different arrangements.
Official details: Reval Café branches.
Café Maiasmokk
Café Maiasmokk is at Pikk 16. Choose it for the historic café setting, pastries and confectionery. Check the café and marzipan-room hours separately if you want to visit both.
Official details: Maiasmokk contact and hours.
Three unverified references
The following names appeared in the earlier guide. They are retained so readers can recognise those references, but they are not recommended destinations for a visit or working session. We have not verified a current visitor address and operating café service for each. Do not rely on their old addresses, hours, prices or workspace claims.
Epic Coffee
Epic Coffee’s current visitor address and café service in Tallinn remain unverified. Confirm both before planning a visit.
Trinacria Sicilian Café
Trinacria’s current operator, visitor address and opening status remain unverified. It is outside this guide’s café shortlist.
Must Puudel
Must Puudel’s operator describes a café, restaurant and bar, but its current visitor address remains unverified here. Confirm the location and current service directly before travelling.
Operator reference: Must Puudel. This link is provided for checking the unresolved details, not as confirmation of an address or work policy.
Practical work planning
Before settling in, ask whether laptops are welcome at that table, how long you may stay, and whether a food order or minimum spend is expected. Confirm charging before your battery runs low, and check guest Wi-Fi before relying on it for a deadline.
Keep calls for a space where staff explicitly permit them. Headphones reduce what you hear; they do not stop your voice carrying to other tables. For confidential work, choose a setting and connection appropriate to the material you need to handle.
Plan around the branch’s kitchen and closing hours. Busy meal periods, private bookings and seasonal outdoor seating can change what is practical. In winter, do not count a terrace as indoor capacity; in summer, a sunny garden table does not guarantee a usable screen or power supply.
Frequently asked questions
Can I work from any café in Tallinn?
No general rule covers every café or branch. Ask before settling in, especially for a long stay. Buying a coffee does not automatically reserve a desk for the day.
Which cafés have confirmed Wi-Fi?
Some operator and tourism pages list guest Wi-Fi, but that does not establish speed, reliability, sockets or permission to work. Confirm the current connection and seating arrangement with your selected branch.
Where can I take video calls?
Only where the venue agrees that calls are appropriate. This guide does not verify call-friendly seating at any of the listed cafés. Arrange a dedicated workspace or meeting room when a call must go ahead without interruption.
Should I plan around an exact coffee price?
Use the current branch menu and ask about any conditions on longer stays.
Is this a ranking?
No. The guide groups verified venue identities by location to help plan a visit. It does not rank Wi-Fi, noise, seating or laptop policies. The three unverified references are outside the shortlist.
