Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience runs at Telliskivi TLN from 19 June 2026 to 10 January 2027. This is a digital, interpretive experience built around reproductions, animated imagery, light, sound and optional virtual reality. It is not a museum exhibition of original Vincent van Gogh paintings. That distinction matters if you are choosing between seeing historic artworks and visiting a projection-led attraction.
What you actually see
The route begins with a physical gallery of reconstructed oil paintings, sculptural elements, animated canvases, letters and a walk-in bedroom reconstruction. Its main room uses wall-to-wall 360-degree projection and sound to animate imagery drawn from more than 200 works. An art-studio activity is also advertised. The organizer describes the standard visit as suitable for all ages.
A separate headset-based VR experience is optional, not part of every admission. Piletilevi says access requires a ticket type marked Regular Ticket + VR; the VR component adds €2 per person to the corresponding timed ticket. Do not assume a standard, flexible or complimentary ticket includes it. The official pages do not publish a minimum age, headset accessibility specification or motion-sensitivity warning for the Tallinn VR room, so families and visitors who need an accommodation should ask the organizer before purchasing that add-on.
Hours, sessions and how long to allow
The experience is scheduled daily from 10:00 to 20:00, with last entry at 19:15. It is closed on 23–24 June, 24–25 December, 31 December and 1 January. Timed tickets admit their holder from 15 minutes before until 15 minutes after the selected time. The official website estimates an average visit of 45 minutes, while Piletilevi says time inside is not limited after admission. In practice, budget about an hour for the standard route and additional time if you buy VR, but the organizer does not publish a fixed VR duration.
Both fixed-time and flexible-entry products are sold through Piletilevi and at the venue. Advance purchase is recommended for a preferred slot and is cheaper than buying on site. The flexible listing currently begins on 31 July even though dated timed sessions cover the earlier part of the run; it is a ticket-product range, not the event's opening date.
Timed-ticket prices
Piletilevi lists these advance prices, including its displayed service fees:
- Monday–Friday: adult €15; concession €11; age 5–15 €8; family €39.
- Saturday–Sunday: adult €17; concession €13; age 5–15 €10; family €44.
- VR: add €2 to an individual timed ticket. The family ticket with VR is €47 on weekdays and €52 at weekends, reflecting VR for four people.
- Free admission: children aged 0–4 and one companion of a visitor with disabilities require the relevant free Piletilevi ticket.
The family ticket covers either two adults and two children or one adult and three children. Concessions cover upper-secondary pupils, students, pensioners and visitors with disabilities, with proof required. Groups of at least ten must arrange a reservation through info@vangoghtallinn.ee. Flexible-ticket prices vary by product, so confirm the chosen ticket's conditions rather than using the timed-price table for every option.
Families, access and practical rules
Pushchairs are allowed, and the organizer says the standard experience suits all age groups. The exhibition route is wheelchair accessible, but there is no accessible toilet, and the organizer says the experience is not adapted for blind or visually impaired visitors. One companion of a visitor with disabilities is admitted free with the required ticket. Contact the organizer in advance if step-free circulation, seating, sensory conditions or the VR setup is essential to your visit.
Photography and video are officially encouraged without flash. Animals cannot enter the exhibition area; the organizer's FAQ separately mentions certified assistance dogs wearing an identifying vest. The official pages checked do not publish a bag-size, cloakroom or luggage rule, so no bag allowance should be inferred. A bar sells drinks, but the venue does not serve food. Card and cash payment are accepted on site.
No authoritative Tallinn source checked publishes a complete inventory of the languages used in labels, letters, narration or VR. The organizer website provides an English selector, and Piletilevi supplies an English sales page, but that does not establish the on-site language provision. Ask info@vangoghtallinn.ee if a particular language is necessary.
Finding the entrance
The entrance is at Telliskivi 60a/9, inside the Telliskivi TLN creative campus, beside Von Krahl Theatre. The organizer says it opens directly from the street; follow the on-campus signs. Telliskivi TLN's tenant directory independently places the experience next to Von Krahl Theatre.
From Balti jaam, the organizer estimates an eight-minute walk. Trams 1, 2 and 5 serve the Telliskivi or Balti jaam stops; tram 2 also links the port area with Balti jaam/Telliskivi. Paid parking is available in and around the campus, with some free areas farther away. Public-transport routes and road access can change, so check Tallinn's journey planner before travel.
Why the listed start date is 19 June
There is a genuine one-day discrepancy in current listings. Visit Tallinn and one line in Piletilevi's English “important information” section say 18 June. However, Piletilevi's current Estonian event information says the exhibition is open from 19 June, both Estonian and English sales copy explicitly say the Tallinn doors open on 19 June, and the dated ticket series starts on 19 June. This record therefore uses 19 June 2026 as the best-supported public opening date and preserves the conflicting 18 June references in its source notes. The closing date, 10 January 2027, is consistent across the official ticket series and secondary calendar.
