A seasonal bird-ringing station on the Gulf of Riga migration route, linked to nearby nature paths.
Why stop here
During autumn migration, ornithologists use a large net to catch birds for ringing and research. The station offers a more focused birdwatching stop than a general beach visit, with coastal scenery and observation points nearby.
Plan your visit
Contact the station before travelling specifically to observe ringing. Activity is seasonal and dependent on the research programme; do not treat the outdoor opening label as a guarantee of staffed visits. Keep clear of nets and follow staff instructions.
Make it part of your day
Combine it with Kabli Beach as a separate stop. The bird station and RMK visitor centre are different facilities connected by the nature-trail network.
