Oandu Beaver Trail

A one-kilometre forest trail following evidence of beavers near Oandu.

Why stop here

RMK locates the trail about a kilometre from Oandu towards Altja. Look for dams and gnawed wood along the riverbank; a live beaver sighting is not guaranteed.

Plan your visit

Use the trail’s own signed start and small parking area rather than the visitor-centre pin. Expect steps and boardwalk sections, and check RMK notices.

Make it part of your day

For more coastal scenery, make the Altja Nature and Cultural Trail a separate walk. The Beaver Trail has its own start on the Oandu–Altja road.
