A forest cemetery with the graves of notable Estonian writers, artists and public figures.
Why stop here
The natural setting and restrained memorials are central to its character. Writer Eduard Vilde was the first person buried here in 1933, and the grounds remain an important place of cultural remembrance.
Plan your visit
Use the cemetery map for individual graves and follow posted rules. Kloostrimetsa tee 33 is the visitor listing’s location; administrative services also use Kloostrimetsa tee 36. Do not mistake office hours for guaranteed access to every part of the grounds.
