Overview

Why visit Sääretirp Headland

A stony headland extending from Kassari, suited to a coastal walk among sea kale and shoreline scrub.

Why stop here

The vegetated ridge gradually gives way to a pebble shore. Look for the Leiger statue on the approach, then follow the headland for views over the surrounding sea.

Plan your visit

Choose how far to walk according to the wind, water and daylight, then return the same way. Wear shoes for uneven stones; this is a coastal landscape rather than a serviced sandy beach.

Make it part of your day

Pair the walk with time on Kassari rather than trying to turn it into a cross-island beach circuit. The national beach guide helps distinguish shore walks from bathing destinations.
