Plan Narva’s meals around the part of the city you are exploring. The castle and riverfront, central streets and Kreenholm do not all sit on one compact restaurant circuit. Pick somewhere convenient for lunch, then let dinner be a separate decision. This shortlist is based on current tourism and operator information and explains why each option fits a trip; it is not a set of firsthand restaurant reviews.
M. Chagall: a seated meal near the arrival side of town
Restaurant M. Chagall is in Hotel Narva at Aleksander Puškini 6, near the railway and bus stations. The operator describes European cooking and publishes separate breakfast, lunch and à la carte services. It is a practical choice when arriving, leaving or returning from a walk towards Alexander’s Cathedral. Check which menu is served at your intended time: the existence of breakfast service does not mean the dinner menu runs all day.
Parisienne: a sheltered sweet break
Chocolaterie Parisienne is on the second floor of Fama shopping centre at Fama 10. The tourism listing describes gelato, pastries, waffles and coffee. Choose it for a dessert stop or a pause during a wet afternoon, rather than as a substitute for a full sightseeing destination. It can be useful when different people need different things from a break: something sweet, a seat indoors or time to regroup before the next walk.
Kreenholmi Pizza&Cafe: plan lunch with the district outing
Kreenholmi Pizza&Cafe at Kreenholmi 50 offers pizza alongside other casual dishes. It is worth checking when your day takes you to the southern part of the city. Do not infer from its name that it is inside the factory or at your tour meeting point. Plot the restaurant and confirmed meeting address separately, and leave time between lunch and any booked Kreenholm tour.
How to build a day around these options
For a castle day, start with the museum and river walk, then choose a meal according to where you want to finish. For a Kreenholm day, make the tour reservation first and fit lunch around it. On departure day, a station-side meal may be more useful than a restaurant back by the river. These choices leave space for a café you notice along the way while still preventing the familiar problem of getting hungry far from the next planned stop.
Menus, reservations and the wider region
Use the official Narva dining directory for more options, then check the venue’s current menu, opening day and booking contact. Ask directly about allergies, vegetarian choices or children’s portions instead of treating a category label as a guarantee. A hotel restaurant can serve non-residents, but particular breakfasts or packages may have different rules. Narva-Jõesuu is a separate coastal town: restaurants there belong in a planned excursion, not in a list of places you can assume are beside Narva Castle. The neighborhood guide helps connect meals with the rest of your route.
